Michael J. Guthrie,
President/Chief Executive Officer and Co-Chairman
Michael J. Guthrie is Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors, and President and CEO of SPECTRA LLC, a Detroit, Michigan based holding company with several automotive manufacturing and engineering subsidiaries. Michael and his brother Carlton are sole shareholders of SPECTRA. Subsidiaries include: Detroit Chassis, LLC, an assembler of running RV chassis and niche vehicles located in Detroit, Michigan; Detroit Custom Chassis, a provider of custom chassis modifications also located in Detroit, Michigan; MAGNYS, LLC, a process and manufacturing engineering firm located in Livonia, Michigan and its subsidiary VSim LLC, a developer of proprietary software for CNC and PLC emulation.
Michael is a native of Gary, Indiana. He was valedictorian of his high school class. Michael received an A.B. from Harvard University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
Michael practiced corporate litigation at Sonnenschein, Carlin, Nath & Rosenthal, an international law firm headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. He joined Johnson Products Company as Senior Attorney and quickly advanced to the post of Vice-President of Corporate Planning.
Carlton L. Guthrie, Co-Chairman
Carlton L. Guthrie is Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors of SPECTRA LLC, a Detroit, Michigan based holding company with several automotive manufacturing and engineering subsidiaries. Carlton and his brother Michael are sole shareholders of SPECTRA. Subsidiaries include: Detroit Chassis, LLC, an assembler of running RV chassis and niche vehicles located in Detroit, Michigan; Detroit Custom Chassis, a provider of custom chassis modifications also located in Detroit, Michigan; MAGNYS, LLC, a process and manufacturing engineering firm located in Livonia, Michigan and its subsidiary VSim LLC, a developer of proprietary software for CNC and PLC emulation.
Born in Atlanta and raised in Gary, Indiana, Carlton was valedictorian and president of his high school senior class. He began his career at Harvard University where he received a BA with honors in Economics in 1974. After a brief stint at Philadelphia National Bank, he moved to Procter & Gamble where he was selected District Salesman of the Year after only eight months. He then returned to Harvard and received an MBA in 1978 concentrating in general management. Upon leaving business school, he worked as a management consultant, initially with Jewel Companies, the Chicago-based diversified food, drug and general merchandise distributor as an internal consultant; with McKinsey and Company's Chicago office as a senior consultant in the firm's Consumer Group specializing in strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions; and with James H. Lowry & Associates, a medium-sized, multi-office general management consulting firm as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
Vice President – Finance, and Chief Financial Officer
Joseph W. Gause is Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. He is responsible for all financial activities including Banking relations and Administrative Support activities including Human Resources, Payroll, Information Technology and Purchasing.
Joseph served as Controller at VITEC LLC, a Detroit based manufacturer of Fuel Delivery systems. Joseph has also served as Vice President of Finance and Administration at Tire & Wheel Assembly Inc. Joseph has significant experience in a lean manufacturing environment, gained during an eleven-year tenure with Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America (TMMNA).
Joseph and his family reside in Belleville, Michigan. Joseph earned a B.S. from Youngstown State University in 1976, with a concentration in Accounting and Economics and has significant experience in lean manufacturing environments.
Anderson L. Dobbins, Jr.,
Vice President, Operations
Anderson (Andy) Dobbins has 20 years of cumulative experience in the Automotive Industry. His total career experience includes 10 years of Operations management, 4 years of Program Management and 12 years of Engineering Management and Engineering.
He has a strong business and financial acumen with a proven track record of improving EBIT through operational excellence. He is also skilled in business and strategic planning, operations management, program and engineering management and product development. He also has entrepreneurial experience.
Andy has a Masters of Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace College and a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. Andy joined Detroit Chassis as the Vice President of Operations in April 2010.
Andy and his wife Desiree have been married for 13 years and they have 2 children.
President - Magnys LLC
Rocco Pollifrone is President of Magnys LLC, a subsidiary of SPECTRA LLC. Through Magnys, Rocco continues to foster relationships and develop engineering inroads into automotive and non-automotive manufacturing entities. Rocco also served as CEO of Trumark Engineering in Detroit. He co-founded Forward Vision, a computer simulation company.
He has experience and interests in land development and telecommunications. He is involved with Polycell Communications, which owns the rights to broadband widths in a dozen cities across the United States, Bay Properties & North Gratiot Crossings. He owns commercial properties in the metro Detroit area. He is co-founder of Kaotix, a software company that developed LinkLearn, the educational software used for Link2BeFree, an online domain hosting company he co-founded.
Rocco resides with his family in Northville, MI and he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Edwina Milligan, CHRS
Vice President, Human Capital
Edwina Milligan possesses over 25 years of human resources and consulting experience in the health, technology, media and manufacturing industries.
Her professional career includes but is not limited to performing in key leadership roles with a local broadcast media and automotive companies. She is highly knowledgeable in the areas of employee relations, benefits and human resources management with proven successes. She is passionate about obtaining the company’s goals and objectives and sharing her professional expertise in coaching, consulting and mentoring others. She regularly contributes her services and support to the Children’s Aid Society. Edwina is known as the “make it happen person” for she is notorious on going above and beyond to accomplish “the goal”.
Edwina is certified as a Human Resources Specialist by Michigan State University and a Mediator from the Oakland County Mediation Center and attained her education from Eastern Michigan University. Edwina became a Detroit Chassis team member in February 2000 and has held positions of Human Resources Manager and Senior Manager of Human Capital.
